To provide SDSU students with opportunities to design, test, and launch experimental rockets and other aerospace projects.
The San Diego State University (SDSU) Rocket Project was originally founded in May 2003 by five engineering students and has grown into a fifty member group of dedicated engineering students. We are focused on designing, fabricating, launching and receiving data from liquid bi-propellant rockets as well as researching emerging technologies to utilize on future rockets. With five successful launches and counting, we have a proven record of reliability in the dynamic area of collegiate rocketry. We have developed and manufactured complex systems including a gimbaled engine, a roll control system, and an integrated launch control software that displays all pertinent information about the vehicle while located in a protective bunker 100 yards away.

Here we will go in-depth on how Rocket Project came to be what it is today. This is a portion of our website that is in serious development and is not expected to be rolled out until Fall as we await Alumni responses and do our best to get the history correct.
